    P rospect Reef an ocean front Resort is located one mile from Road Town, the capital of the B.V.I. A village-style Resort featuring its own harbour with a range of accommodations set in gardens along the sea front. Tranquil and relaxing atmosphere with a wide variety of activities and services.

    General Information

    Transportation: Daily air service from San Juan (Puerto Rico) with American Eagle. An alternative route is a one hour ferry ride from St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. (last ferry weekdays - 4:65 p.m. slightly later weekends).

    Ground Transportation: Prospect Reef's taxi meets all incoming flights. The round trip fee can be charged to your room account.

    Dining and Entertainment: A choice of fine dining or cafe style restaurants are available including the all new harbourside "Scuttlebutt Bar and Grill." Low fat and vegetarian selections available.

    Sports Facilities: Five pools including two sand-terraced sea pools and freshwater Jr. Olympic, deep- dive and children's wading pools. Six hard-surface tennis courts, Pitch & Putt golf, jogging paths, diving and snorkeling. Healthy Prospects centre offers a variety of health and fitness options.

    Shopping Arcade: Gourmet and grocery items at "Little Circle," gifts and exotic fabrics at the "Pink Pineapple," casual wear at "On the Beach" and a haircut at "Scissors" a full service beauty salon.

    guest Services: Arrange tours, hikes, day-sails, baby-sitting, sports activities and general information.

    Communications: All rooms have voice mail, cable TV in Villas, (available for a fee in other room types). Some rooms have computer access points.

    Car Rentals: On site service for jeeps.

    Check In: 2:00 p.m. Check Out: 11:00 a.m.

    Dress: Informal at all times, but dress shorts/slacks and skirts suggested during evening dining at the "Upstairs Restaurant."

    Credit Cards: Amex, MasterCard and VISA accepted. Personal cheques cannot be accepted in the British Virgin Islands.

    Meetings and Conferences: Intimate gatherings are held at the sea side "Reef House." Overlooking the Sir Francis Drake Channel and wrapping around an interior open-air courtyard, the self-contained facility can accommo up to 120 guests.

    Scuba Diving: Award winning "Baskin in the Sun" is a 5 Star PADI Training Facility and NAUI Dream Resort. A complete range of activities including Resort, Certification and Specialty Courses are offered. The Reef Fish I.D. course is available to both divers and snorkelers. Boats leave the dock twice daily. Night dives. Retail store.

    Underwater Photography: Underwater photography (stills and video) with Rainbow Visions. Equipment rentals, lesson and commissioned videos.

    Day Sails: Full or half day sailing and snorkeling trips with Captain Ken to neighbouring islands aboard the 35 foot yacht "Take Two." Open bar and lunch served onboard.

    Snorkeling: Full and half day explorations of the reefs aboard the 34ft powerboat "Gulfstream" with "Roy," your skipper and guide. Snorkeling instruction.

    Island Cruise: Full day excursions aboard "Someday's Today," a 46ft motor launch offering 3 island cruises with open bar and lunch ashore.

    Deep-sea Fishing: Catch the "Big One!" Reel in such catches as Dolphin, Wahoo, Tuna and Kingfish on the 65' Chris Craft Tournament Sportsfisherrnan "M/V Whopper." Enjoy hunting the big game fish of the Caribbean or take a guided tour illustrating the unique marine and avian life of the BVI.

    Healthy Prospects: Professional and friendly staff at this low-key facility offer aerobics, tennis instruction, therapeutic massage, aromatherapy
